The country’s largest telecom operator, Reliance Jio, is going to launch the second generation of its Android power laptop on July 31. The Amazon teaser shows that the design of the new Jio Book Laptop is the same as the one that the company launched the last year in October month. This device could be either a refreshed version of the Jio Book that was launched previously, or Reliance Jio company might be planning to sell the older one via Amazon.
This device has an octa-core processor which can handle multi-tasking applications, streaming high-definition videos, and more. The upcoming device is much lighter than the preceding model, which was 1.2 kg, whereas this device is just 990 grams.
The Jio Book that was launched in India last year was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with Adreno 610 GPU. It has only 2GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage, which is expandable by 128 GB.
There is a 5,000 mAH battery under the hood which can deliver up to 8 hours on a single charge. There is also passive cooling support for heat emission. This device comes with an embedded Jio SIM card which will allow people to get Jio 4G LTE connectivity. For connectivity, it has support for Bluetooth, HDMI port, WIFI connection, etc.
On the top of the display, there is a 2MP webcam, dual speakers, and a 3.5MM headphone jack. In India, the Laptop is priced at Rs. 20,000/-. Now we all have to wait for more clarity on the new Jio Book Laptop till the actual launch.
