India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, a 23-minute strike, destroyed terror camps in Pakistan.
The Indian armed forces on Wednesday (May 7, 2025) strikes targeting the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
The strikes mainly aim at the infrastructure of terrorist groups, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The strikes do not target any civilian buildings or army sites.
It was a tri-services military operation involving the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, monitored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The operation was the response to the barbaric killing of innocent tourists in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 people were killed and dozens injured. According to the intelligence report, the terrorist activities are linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). These groups are responsible for various terrorist attacks in India over the past two decades.
9 Terror Camps Targeted under Operation Sindoor
The ‘Operation Sindoor’ strikes 9 sites in Pakistan and PoJK, lasting from 1.04 am to 1.30 am.
The nine terror camps targeted under ‘Operation Sindoor’ were in Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur, Markaz Taiba in Muridke, Sarjal Camp in Narowal, Mehmoona Joya Facility in Sialkot, Markaz Ahle Hadith Barnala in Bhimber, Markaz Abbas & Maskar Raheel Shahid in Kotli (PoJK), Shawai Nallah Camp & Markaz Syedna Bilal in Muzaffarabad (PoJK).
Markaz Subhan Allah (Bahawalpur), the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) since 2015 linked to the Pulwama attack (2019), and Markaz Taiba (Muridke), the main training center of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) since 2000 linked to the 26/11 Mumbai attack, were demolished through the ‘Operation Sindoor’ strike. Several other terrorist sites, including JeM infiltration base in Sarjal, Hizbul Mujahideen weapon training center at Mehmoona Joya Facility (Sialkot), terrorist camps in PoJK, are destroyed.
Weapons used in ‘Operation Sindoor’
As per defense sources, missiles, bombs, and munitions were used in ‘Operation Sindoor’.
- Frontline fighter jets used for strike without crossing the LoC
- Rafale, SU-30 MKI, Mirage 2000 used
- Spice-2000 Bomb used for precision Strike
- Scalp missiles used to hit distant targets
The Operation Sindoor was planned and launched with a clear motive to uproot terror bases in Pakistan and PoJK and destroy the support network behind Pakistan-backed terrorism.
After the successful completion of the operation, the Indian Government and Indian armed forces congratulated the citizens of India for delivering justice to the victims of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
